The ECIA is recruiting for the following role:
Job Title: Employee Relations Advisor
Location: Home-Based (Remote)
Salary: Dependent on experience
Contract: Temp (6-month Maternity Cover)
About the role
The ECIA is an employer’s association dealing with over 160 member companies in the UK. The association is the employers’ representation in the National Agreement of the Engineering Construction Industry. We’re supporting an industry that delivers critical infrastructure and drives the national green and nuclear delivery aims.
The role is initially a 6-month maternity cover, but may become permanent for the right candidate.
What you’ll do
Provide expert support to members on formal issues (disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability, absence, flexible working, and appeals).
Provide best-practice advice aligned to UK employment law and company policy.
Work with Employee Relations Managers on complex/risk cases.
Provide guidance on UK Industrial law
Support membership activities
Support association business (finance/membership).
Maintain accurate case records and deliver MI/insights.
What you’ll bring
Solid ER advisory experience in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of UK employment and Industrial Law.
Confident in dealing with Members’ interests and Association agreements
Excellent judgement, communication, and stakeholder management.
CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) is desirable.
